1. Who this policy covers
MyExamMate (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an educational mock-test platform for Maharashtra government exams and banking — including MPSC Group A, B and C, Police Bharti, Talathi and Revenue, MAHA TET, ZP and Panchayat, Forest / PSU papers, and IBPS / SBI banking mocks. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share information when you browse exam guides, create an account, sit a timed test, buy an exam series or subscription, or use the Android app with the same login.
You can read public exam information without an account. Registration, purchases, attempts and rank reports require a student account. By using the platform you agree to this policy and our Terms & Conditions.
2. Information we collect
Account details you give us: name, email, mobile number, password (stored hashed), language preference, and any profile fields you later update.
Exam and learning data: exam family or series you open, mock attempts, answers, time spent, scores, ranks, section analytics, and device used for the attempt. We use this to show your dashboard, weak topics and history on web and Android.
Purchases: series or subscription chosen, amount, currency (INR), validity or trial dates, and payment status. Card, UPI and net-banking details are collected by the payment gateway (Razorpay). We receive order and payment identifiers and a success or failure confirmation — not your full card number or CVV.
Technical data: IP address, browser, operating system, app version, cookies or similar storage, login times, and security events (for example a second session being signed out). This helps keep one account secure and the test timer reliable.
3. How we use information
- Create and manage your account, and sync the same attempts between website and Android app.
- Deliver timed mocks, instant rank, solutions and section analytics.
- Unlock exam series, subscription papers and free trials you are entitled to.
- Process payments, send receipts or access confirmations, and handle support (include your registered email and transaction ID).
- Send service messages such as password resets, purchase status and important platform notices. Marketing mail is sent only where you have a reasonable expectation of service updates; you can ask us to stop promotional messages.
- Protect the platform: detect shared logins, bots, payment fraud and unfair test use.
- Improve questions, translations (Marathi / English) and site performance using aggregated, de-identified statistics where possible.
4. Sharing and processors
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share limited data only with:
- Payment partners such as Razorpay, to complete a purchase.
- Hosting, email and infrastructure providers that run the website, database and transactional mail.
- Law enforcement or regulators when Indian law requires disclosure, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
Exam guides may link to official sites (for example MPSC, Maharashtra Police, MSCE / MAHA TET, IBPS or SBI). Those sites have their own privacy practices. MyExamMate is not those bodies and does not receive your application data from them.
5. Cookies, sessions and the app
We use essential cookies and session storage to keep you logged in, protect forms (CSRF), remember language or UI preferences, and run a timed test without losing your attempt. The Android app uses the same account and stores a login token on the device.
For security we may allow only one active web session at a time. Signing in on a new browser can end the previous session. You can clear cookies or app data; you will need to log in again, and some features will not work while signed out.
6. Retention, security and your rights
We keep account, attempt and payment records for as long as we need them to provide access, show your history, prevent fraud and meet tax or legal duties in India. After you ask us to close an account we delete or anonymise personal fields we no longer need; transaction identifiers and completed test records may be retained in a limited form for audit.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (hashed passwords, HTTPS, access controls). No online service is completely secure. Protect your password and do not share your account.
Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data we hold, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Use your profile settings where available, or email us. We may need to verify it is you, and we may refuse a request where the law lets us keep the data (for example a completed payment).
7. Children and policy updates
MyExamMate is built for students preparing for competitive and eligibility exams. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. A parent or guardian should supervise any younger visitor who only reads public pages.
We may update this policy when the product or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after a posted update means you accept the revised policy.
